Colors — what’s your favorite color? Most people tend to name the usual ones (even if not primary): blue, red, yellow, or green.

Depending on where you are in the world, that preference can change. The meaning of colors carries deep psychological, anthropological, and cultural influences.

For instance, black is traditionally used in Mediterranean countries to express mourning for the loss of a loved one, while in some Eastern cultures, grief is instead represented by the color white.

There are many other examples: yellow, often considered bad luck in the theater world after an actor wearing it tragically passed away during a performance; or red, universally associated with sensuality, passion, and love.

That’s why, when designing a logo at Agencia Adhoc, we understand the importance of color in branding—and how it shapes the perception of those who see it.

Color selection is a fundamental part of our graphic designers’ creative work. They understand the impact of color on branding and know how to evoke the emotions our clients want to awaken in their target audience through the right color choices.

That’s why this week at Agencia Adhoc we wanted to share with our clients and readers the true importance of color in branding—and how every detail we design is deliberate, carefully studied, and never left to chance.

Elegance, movement, nature, speed, efficiency, tenderness, seriousness, responsibility—these are just some of the emotions and sensations that can be conveyed through color.
