What we found
In Algeciras and La Línea de la Concepción, when people talk about quality ice cream, they talk about Elgulus. Established in the Campo de Gibraltar since 1996, they have made quality and exceptional customer service their hallmark, offering an extensive catalogue of flavours that is renewed every year with creations inspired by unique elements of the region, following traditional Italian methods. Having firmly established themselves in direct sales, in mid-2018 they contacted us to make the leap into online sales.
What we contributed
Prototype, prototype, and more prototype — in this case, the key focus was on the shopping experience and technical development. That’s why we set design aside at first to focus on building a structure that would make the purchasing process as intuitive as possible.
Fortunately, we had highly committed clients who, through successive meetings, contributed greatly to achieving the best possible prototype. Once that stage was completed, we moved on to the web design phase, where we reinforced the values of a well-established and recognizable brand in the Campo de Gibraltar area.
The development of a fully custom website — one of our specialities — required extensive in-house programming and a long testing process that began in early 2019. From that point until its launch in March, we spent many weeks testing side by side with the clients, identifying errors, and continuously improving the functionality and usability of their online business.
After a summer of successful ice cream sales in their physical stores, this year we added online sales to the business with excellent results. This project met every stage with rigor and professionalism — thanks to the dedication of Diego, Guido, and Federico, the driving force behind the ice cream shops.
