The state of emergency we’re currently living through has highlighted creativity in many forms.
People are sharing memes filled with humor, homemade motivational videos, neighbors playing bingo from their balconies, or exercising together across rooftops.
As the saying goes, “when the shoe pinches, ingenuity sharpens.”
And graphic design hasn’t lagged behind. This time, creativity comes from Jure Tovrljan, a Slovenian creative director and graphic designer whose idea during lockdown was nothing short of brilliant.
A lover of brands, he analyzed the logos of internationally recognized companies and gave them a twist, adapting them to the current global situation.
An original redesign with a clear message—raising awareness about staying home and following health guidelines to prevent contagion—all while keeping a touch of humor.
At Agencia Adhoc, we loved the outcome of his work, and as creatives ourselves, we wanted to share it with our readers and clients.

The beer brand “Coronita” might have to consider changing its name after the coronavirus outbreak.

When the internet becomes your main source of entertainment, you might risk getting trapped in a social network like “Linkeding.”

This was Jure Tovrljan’s first redesign—he wanted to see what the Starbucks siren would look like wearing a mask to prevent infection, and that’s how this whole series began.

Mastercard’s circles have been separated to reflect social distancing—so important right now.

“Just don’t do it.” Now isn’t the time to practice outdoor sports—stay home.

Just four months into 2020, and it already doesn’t seem like a great year.
The satire and cleverness with which these brands have been reimagined by this talented designer have led other companies to request his services to adapt their own logos to the coronavirus theme. Others, such as Audi, Coca-Cola, and McDonald’s, have followed suit and modified their visual identities as well.
At Agencia Adhoc, we hope you’ve enjoyed this display of creativity. And of course, if you’d like to redesign your company’s logo or need a new brand identity, our team includes highly skilled graphic design professionals.
