What we found

The Town Hall of Castellar de la Frontera lacked a functional brand that would allow all points of contact between the institution and the public to be easily identifiable. As is often the case, we found a heraldic coat of arms rich in meaning and history but with several different versions and styles, making it difficult for the Town Hall to use consistently across various formats or maintain a unified communication approach.

What we contributed

A brand for an institution such as a town hall — in this case, Castellar de la Frontera — must above all serve as an effective communication tool, helping citizens clearly perceive the institution’s activities and initiatives.

Graphically, creativity is often limited by the coat of arms that traditionally represents towns and cities. For this reason, we carried out a geometrization process of the emblem, always keeping in mind its heraldic integrity, since each element and its form convey a specific meaning.

A classic yet modern typeface, combined with a color palette inspired by the earth, nature, and the stone tones of the castle — the very reason for the town’s existence — completes a brand designed to provide the institution with an effective and cohesive communication tool.
